EC Wireless is seeking a Cellular DAS and Distributed Radio Access Network (DRAN) Project Manager to lead multi-carrier Neutral Host and Carrier DRAN deployment projects from initial site-walks through final closeout. This is a hands-on field leadership role based in or near the Washington, D.C. area. The position is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a clear path into long-term leadership within a small business company. It requires extensive nationwide travel and active field presence on deployment sites across the United States.

Role Overview
This role combines project scheduling, field execution leadership, crew coordination, and client communication. You will be responsible for driving DAS and DRAN deployment projects from start to finish while actively working in the field with installation teams, subcontractors, venue POCs, and customers.
You will oversee day-to-day execution of multiple job sites, ensuring schedules, budgets, materials, and field activities remain aligned. This role requires strong ownership, adaptability, and the ability to lead from both the field and project level.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning and Scheduling
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Gantt charts or equivalent tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
• Track milestones, dependencies, and critical paths from kickoff through closeout.
• Coordinate daily and weekly project status updates for clients and internal teams.
• Identify scheduling risks and drive solutions to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate labor, inspections, and material procurement to support field execution.
Field Operations and Crew Leadership
• Lead installation crews and subcontractors on active DAS and DRAN deployment sites.
• Maintain an active field presence to ensure quality, productivity, and safety standards.
• Support installation activities including coaxial and fiber installation, equipment mounting, node readiness, and project documentation / deliverables.
• Oversee system testing and commissioning activities, including line sweeps, PIM testing, and site verification.
• Manage crew deployments and ensure field work is executed according to project plans and customer / site requirements.
Budget, Logistics and Compliance
• Monitor project budgets, labor hours, and expenditures to ensure financial performance.
• Track daily timekeeping and project productivity for accuracy and reporting.
• Coordinate material procurement, equipment delivery, and rental resources (lifts, test gear, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and construction/customer standards
• Work with inspectors, property owners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to support permitting and project acceptance.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of DAS/DRAN deployment, telecom infrastructure, and/or wireless construction installation experience.
• At least 3 years of experience leading field teams, installation crews, or construction projects.
• Strong experience building and managing project schedules using Gantt charts or similar tools.
• Experience managing budgets, labor tracking, and project reporting.
• Working knowledge of DAS platforms including CommScope/Andrew, SOLiD, JMA, and Corning.
• Experience with coaxial and fiber installation, DAS/DRAN deployment, and field commissioning activities.
• Familiarity with building code requirements.
• OSHA-30 certified
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients, Carriers, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Proven leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced field environments.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Washington, D.C. metro area preferred; candidates within reasonable driving distance may also be considered.
• Ability to travel up to 80% nationwide.
• Willingness to support extended hours and weekend work/travel during active deployment phases (comp time provided).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP certification.
• iBwave Design familiarity.
• Experience working directly with wireless carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile).
• Experience with Neutral Host, and/ or large venue DAS deployments.

Compensation: $90,000–$115,000 annually (commensurate with experience). Initial employment is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire with eligibility for full-time benefits upon successful conversion.
